Don’t ignore your wants: my entire business, and the trajectory of my life, started with a want. I simply wanted to use my story of survival to touch the life of someone who was contemplating suicide, felt hopeless and as if no one was listening.
I wanted for people who had survived abuse or trauma to no longer feel as if they were damaged goods. I wanted them to know that there is life after abuse and it’s a rich, joy filled one. I wanted to reach one person that couldn’t see the gifts and blessings that he/ she possessed and be the encourager, supporter and transformational leader that propelled them to greatness.
I wanted a lot, but today I realize this is my predestined purpose and I’m blessed to walk in my calling. Pain has a purpose and I was never created to be a shrinking violet. I was never created to be that quiet, fearful and broken little girl that hid in the corner. I was created to be loud, on center stage and overflowing with love, peace and happiness to give to those that need it. Circumstances, abuse nor trauma should be given the power to override that (although they almost did in my life).
I encourage you on today to stop ignoring your Wants, Visions or Dreams; they are inside of you for a purpose. Just make sure you don’t allow them to hold a permanent place there. Someone is dying – their hopes, dreams and visions are being choked out by the pressures of this world. They are on the edge and they need you to be a life raft. Will you?
