Used to be terrified of sitting in the window seat of a plane. (Actually, I use to be terrified of flying in general.) However, I am a firm believer in facing your fears and getting mastery of anything that scares you. So I guess it was destiny that day when I booked a window seat, unbeknownst to me. And here is what I learned:
- What goes up DOES NOT have to come down
- Dominion requires a bird’s eye view
- To take flight, you must have a clear destination in mind
Your success starts with your pilot. Who do you allow to control/drive your life? Spirituality is an individual choice, but I know that there is a God. Every time I take flight, I am mesmerized by the aerial views, especially at high altitudes where it appears you are above the clouds.

I ask God, How can people believe you don’t exist? Have they ever flown by a window seat? Seen the earth below massive bodies of water, seemingly frozen in time? Viewed the artistic work of the clouds and the “picture show” from various angles? No man could ever design these things: they are the handiwork of Almighty God.
This is where it all begins. What goes up doesn’t have to come down and every flight I take proves it. Some people are afraid to fly; they fear success because they are afraid of what will happen when it ends. They reason, Why be successful and struggle with all that comes with it? At least if I stay where I am, I know what life is like and I won’t be disappointed if things don’t work out. But what is the point of having wings and never taking flight?

The ups and downs of life are like a flight: you must adapt to the various aspects of life. Weather changes, turbulence and unexpected circumstances, create unique twists and turns. Nevertheless, you can never have dominion without a bird’s eye view or an end goal that you are working towards.
Come up a little higher; take flight. The air’s fresher up here and you’ll adjust sooner than you think.
