In a perfect world – did that ever exist? – when problems arise, we would just smile, say ‘God I know you have this covered’ and peacefully move forward. Almost like a burp, your problem would leave as quickly as it appeared. Well . . . we DO NOT LIVE in a perfect world.

I cried.
Motivational Speaker, Empowerment Coach and Child Abuse Survivor – and any other accolades you can add to my life – I balled in the fetal position on my recliner and cried. I felt like a failure, nothing could comfort me, there were no answers in sight and my physical, emotional and mental strength were depleted. All I could do is cry and hold onto to the measure of faith I can muster. And here is why I am even sharing this transparent moment with you.
This too shall soon pass.
Yes, that is a cliché, but it is often the reminder we need in the darkest periods of our lives. I also want to point out something key that I said earlier. This was not the HARDEST THING I had ever experienced! Even if it was, during the darkest periods of our lives, we forget that we have a built endurance in our past. Every challenge, every struggle and every “defeat” has demonstrated our RESILLENCE!

We are stronger than anything that comes our way. Coupled with God’s strength, we are a force to be reckoned with, even when we feel abandoned, worthless and ready to quit.
P.S.: Here’s the real ‘secret’ that you are ignoring during these times. At the exact moment you are ready to quit and abandon EVERYTHING, there are multiple people watching you and saying: “I admire him/her and would love to do what he/she is doing”.
Tell me again how much of a failure or how worthless you are? Get up, dry your tears and let’s go kick butt! We all have work to do. (Click on the pic below for my FREE gift to help you get started!)
